THE PARTNERSHIP
In the age of AI, answers are everywhere. Clarity, substance and empathy are not.
GetWhy and Inside Out believe all three are found in the same place: in people. So Being Human in the Age of AI brings together three ways of asking the great philosophical questions of this age:
Sense-foraging: the slow, anthropological work of asking the right questions and finding meaning.
Ground truth: everyday voices, gathered quickly enough to join the debate instead of arriving after it.
Collective wisdom: leaders from very different fields at one table, thinking laterally, with the reach to act on what they find.
Then we take it out into the world, so all of us can decide when to use AI, and when not to, in ways that protect what makes us human.
We ask the questions that go beyond evangelist and sceptic. Against the Age of Slop. For the potential and ingenuity of people.
AI entered my inner voice.
Then came a harder thought: I don’t think my job will exist in five years.
I went back to my roots in the anthropology of technology and asked: what does it mean to be human in the age of AI? The answers felt thin, and the people living through the change went unheard.
So I set a table, and invited people from very different worlds to think it through with me.
Neither evangelist nor sceptic. Insatiably curious.
The world is less human.
The scarcest resource in the Age of AI isn’t data. Or capital. Or talent. It’s empathy.
Now we stand at the dawn of a new era, one where automation promises to flatten everything. What will remain?
The answer is humanity. What people feel. What they want. What they believe. The future belongs to those with the most understanding.
